Konstantin's primary interest is natural leather, and he handles it with exquisite mastery and unmistakable style. At present, Kofta's designs are found in concept stores in New York, Vienna, Berlin, London, Shanghai, and Zurich. Although they are not universally popular, the designer claims to have found his niche (at least for the time being). He is quite comfortable with his level of popularity among connoisseurs of artisanal accessories.
The KOFTA brand has brought together backpacks and medium-sized clutches. The items are never smooth, but instead have stamping and lettering, depicting both living creatures, and those of fairytales, or simply abstract patterns of letters and monograms in cipher. Konstantin doesn’t limit himself to one geometrical form and offers oval, square and rectangular shapes for his backpacks.
You have most likely seen one of his primary works that have bedazzled fashion editors from around the world: the backpack that features the muscle and bone structure of the human spine and back. The details and precision of the item are outstanding. The piece is still available in two colors: sleek black and cold beige, and the latter looks like an element from a Halloween costume, because of its astonishing resemblance to a real part of the human body.
Konstantin Kofta avoids excessive publicity, assuming that his work speaks volumes. His collections include not only handbags and purses, but also shoes and, occasionally, belts. The lookbooks of the brand traditionally look dark and somber and focus on the exceptional quality of the leatherwork. It has been universally agreed that KOFTA's art pieces include items for everyone from those who love the underground style to a posh socialite or graceful senior – all with an equal amount of class and creativity.
